NORTH

My compass led me to the magnetic North
A place I thought would bring me joy all my days
A person I thought was the one for me
But once I got there, I found out I was wrong
The place, the person I found was perfect
But was not the utopia I was searching for
Though the aurorae here intrigued the eyes
The heart was not comfortable
The eyes liked what it witnessed
But the heart didn't like what it felt, or what it didn't
And once I stood at the magnetic North
Is when I realized I had a true North
My compass, my heart led me to another North
And so, I followed it towards the other North
A way from the doppelganger
And when I finally got there, utopia opened up
My true North was perfect to a tee
And when I stood at my true North
Everywhere else was south, all else was vanity
A place, a person bringing bliss
Though aurora doesn't show up here
The heart is at peace, and I am calm
This is what I call my true Home
